HISTORY
Grìma was a man of Rohan who rose to become king Théoden's sole councillor. He was an agent of Saruman's and used his position to poison Théoden's mind with lies, turning him against Éomer and weaking Rohan so that Saruman might take it over. Grìma's reward was to have been marriage to Theoden's niece, Éowyn.
During his long tenure, Grìma also turned Théoden against Gandalf and Gondor, but when Gandalf returned as the White, he drove out Grìma and threw off the spells he had laid on the king. Grìma went to live with Saruman in Orthanc during the siege of the Ents, and accompanied him to The Shire after the War of the Ring. Continually mistreated by Saruman, Grìma slew him and was himself cut down by hobbit archers.
Grìma was a short, unctious man with a narrow face and a short goatee. He was a master of conversation and persuasion. He was called Wormtongue by the Rohirrim and just Worm by Saruman.
NOTES
1. I have decided to show Grìma's exceptional gift of brainwashing as a Drain versus Ego. It could also be simulated just with his high level of ability at conversation, persuasion, seduction and psychology.
