Background/History: Jeron was born brilliant. A talented computer programmer and businessman he founded his own company and earned a fortune before his twenty-first birthday. After having massive mental breakdown and spending a year in an institution, he retired, gave away almost all his money and began a quite and contemplative life. Or at least, he tried. Fate had other plans in store.
When the original Doctor died in his quest to teach the world about magic, Jeron was the unlikely heir to his vast powers and knowledge. Suddenly he was plagued by thousands of nagging spirits, the Earths shamans of old and granted the power of an ancestral shamanic tradition dating back to the dawn of time. At first, Jeron fled from this unwanted responsibility. He hid in his room losing himself in videogames and trying to dull the voices in his head with vast quantities of narcotics.
Jenny Sparks forced Jeron to overcome his fears in a most spectacular fashion. She killed herself. Jeron was forced to his powers to revive her and prove that he could use them effectively. Moved by Jennys conviction, he agreed to join her fledgling team, becoming perhaps the most powerful member of The Authority.
Jeron is the least experienced of the team and it shows. He tends to freeze up in high stress situations, panicking easily. This makes him the weak link in some ways despite his awesome power. He has been the butt of Midnighters scorn for just this reason several times. The Doctor can do almost anything he can imagine, but he needs time to focus and shape his magic. In combat he tends to go for relatively simple effects, Out of combat, hes capable of just about anything. Jeron has formed no close bonds on the team as of yet and may remain isolated as he is somewhat intimidated by his more confident and experienced team mates.
