Background/History: Peter Knorr was an experience mercenary before joining Utopia. He lead an elite unit known as "The Wolf Pack" in the Kashmir conflict, fighting against and alongside Nova Elites. His team's final operation was a complete suicide mission against a highly skilled Nova. They didn't stand a chance, but as the arrogant merc closed on Knorr to finish the job thick tangled vines suddenly erupted the group and ensnared him. Knorr, blinded with pain and rage tore the Elite apart with his bare hands and made his way back to civilization. To this day, he has told no one but his therapist what happened that day.
Knorr heard about Utopia soon afterward and signed on, hoping to do some good with his life finally. Initially he was assigned to ecological restoration because of his plant based powers, but wanted something with more action. When Team Tomorrow formed, Peter eagerly applied and was accepted, despite Ceastus Pax's misgivings about him. He took the name Thorn and has been exemplary as field commander and combatant. Thorn has since been made commander of Team Tomorrow Europe.
Personality/Motivation: In combat, Thorn is aggressive. He seeks to end a battle as soon as possible to minimize the destruction that he knows Nova conflict can cause. He fights with ruthless efficiency and is not shy about using lethal force, but isn't a casual killer. Thorn is always concerned about bystanders and will abandon objectives to protect innocents. Something which endears him to the public but not cetain member of the chain of the command. Losing the Wolf Pack still weighs heavily on his mind and shows in the sometimes overly protective manner in which he treats the rest of his team. Out of combat, Thorn is quiet and introspective. He always seems a little distance and forms few personal relationships.
Powers: Thorn's powers are fairly straight forward. He can summon and control plants, using the thick thorny vines to ensnare opponents, causing trees to bludgeon and other such acts. Unlike most Novas with "nature" powers he has no great attachment to the environment, seeing his abilities as just another weapon. Thorn is also extremely strong and durable and highly trained in hand to hand combat and the use of firearms. As a leader, he excels with an undeniable personal charisma and the ability to flawless coordinate the actions of a group. In fact, groups under his leadership function so well they are quite a bit more efficient than they would be otherwise.
Appearance: Peter is a handsome muscular man, on the tall side with broad shoulders and neatly cropped blonde hair and blue eyes. He doesn't dress to accentuate his looks, but most woman find him quite attractive despite the fact. On duty he wears the standard body suit with no additional adornments. Off duty, he dresses in conservative suits or casual wear designed for comfort rather than fashion. Peter is normally soft spoken except when issuing orders when his booming voice seems to carry for miles.
