Background/History: Locke Cole was an adventurous young man who gre up in the small town of Kohlingen. He loved exploring, and would often bring his girlfriend Rachel to the nearby caves with him. One time however, Rachel was injured when she saved Locke from a fall. Although she recovered from her injuries, she had lost her memories. Despite Locke's protests, Rachel's parents forbade him from seeing her, insisting it would be best if she recovered without him.
Later, while Locke was out of town, disaster struck. The empire invaded the region, sweeping through Kohlingen. Rachel was cut down by an imperial soldier in the fighting. He returned too late; Rachel had passed into a deep coma, but not before uttering his name. Desperate, he had a sage in Kohlingen preserve her, while he scoured the world, looking for something to revive her.
This quest eventually brought him into contact with the returners. While passing through Narshe, he was given an unusual task by the local Returners leader: Escort a young amnesiac girl to the returner's leader, Baram. Upon meeting the girl, Terra, Locke was strongly reminded of Rachel. He promised, no matter what, to protect her from then on. Thus began their journey.
Personality/Motivation: Locke is a true knight, trapped in the body of a thief. He is charming, gentle and chivalrous, always putting himself in harms way to protect others. He models himself as a valiant treasure hunter, yet others look on him as a common thief; a name he hates.
Quote: "No matter what, I'll protect you."
Tactics/Powers:
Locke has minimal combat skills; he is trained with swords and some unusual thrown weapons, but mostly relies on his speed. His true strengths are out of combat; he is a very skilled and knowledgeable young man, having traveled virtually everywhere, and done virtually everything.
Appearance: Locke is a handsome young man of twenty five, with short blond hair held back with a blue bandanna. He wears a blue jacket over a grey shirt and blue pants.
