Background/History: Cloud Strife is the main character from Final Fantasy VII, an epic game based around his past and future.

Cloud comes from a small town named Nibelheim. Growing up, he always wanted to be like Sephiroth, a member of the Shinra corporation's elite force known as SOLDIER and a renowned war hero. He joined SOLDIER, and was eventually assigned with Sephiroth. However, during one assignment to Cloud's home town, Sephiroth ran amok, cutting down his friends and destroying the entire town. Cloud confronted Sephiroth, but he cannot remember what happened during or after that confrontation.

Cloud winds up as a mercenary working for Avalanche, a terrorist group dedicated to bringing down Shinra, lead by Barret Wallace and Cloud's childhood friend, Tifa Lockheart. During their missions, they discover that Sephiroth is alive and still wreaking havoc. Cloud sets out to confront his childhood hero once more.

Personality/Motivation: Due to his betrayal of SOLDIER, Cloud is a marked man. He is hunted by both the Shinra corporation and his long-time nemesis Sephiroth. Unknown to Cloud, he can be influenced by Sephiroth, due to the conditions of his death at Sephiroth's hands and subsequent resurrection.

As a person, cloud is mostly cool and reserved. He always projects a cocky, uncaring attitude, but it is mostly show. Underneath, he is more than a bit shy.

Powers/Tactics: Cloud's powers mostly come from his training and massive sword. When injured or angered (activation roll), he can call on his limit break "Braver," in which he leaps into the air and cleaves the opponent in two with a massive overhand swing. He also has a pair of materia, small glowing orbs that enable the user to wield magic. His provide basic ice and bolt spells; as he gains experience and collects more materia, his repertoire will greatly increase.

Appearance: Cloud Strife is a lean man of average height. He has a spiky mess of short blond hair, and his blue eyes glow with mako power, a mark of SOLDIER members. He still wears his old SOLDIER uniform: a purple sleeveless shirt and loose pants, gauntlets, shoulderpads and heavy boots. He always carries a buster sword, a massive, two-handed blade with two small materia slots in the base of the blade.
