Designer's Notes:
1) Thespian originally paid 30 points for a 30 PRE. This was corrected to 20 points.
2) Rebuilt Thespian's Mental Powers Elemental Control. By the way, you are reading that right, the smallest power in there is 165 Active Points (slot two). Slot one is 210 Active Points! Talk about overdoing it. Anyway, the original character sheet was a mess with regards to the EC, with a 30 point pool, but -1 in total Limitations, yet the character was paying 26 points for said pool! Also, the Radius for Slot two was originally listed as 16", but since I couldn't do that here, I made it 18" instead.
3) Redefined the Fencing Martial Maneuvers. The damage listings were totally inaccurate. Not to mention he was paying 24 points for 22 points of moves.
4) Redefined the Rapier as an HKA instead of an RKA.
5) Thespian originally paid 15 points for +3 with Fencing. The errata sheet says this is +5 with Fencing. I made the correction.
6) Thespian's Skill Rolls were all over the place. I won't go through each and every one, but suffice to say that in many cases the roll was under the base Characteristic roll the Skill was based off of. I fixed all Skill Rolls to show the correct amount.
7) Fixed the point values for all Disadvantages.
8) The original version of Thespian cost 426 points. He now costs 457, a 31-point increase. Rebuilding his Elemental Control more than balanced out any gains in reduced Talent and Skill costs.
9) Assessment: For starters, the writer seems to have gotten Norway and Denmark confused. Thespian is Norwegian, famous for doing Shakespeare, and his origin story centers around a performance of Hamlet (the Prince of Denmark). So, if his origin concerns him holding the King of Norway hostage, why is he listed as a Danish villain? In truth, Thespian is, simply put, a mess. The concept and the end product just don't add up at all. He's horribly overpowered with 165 and 210 Active Point Attacks, a 30 EGO, and no need to pay END for much of anything. He is also a tall and skinny middle-aged man, yet he was a 23 STR, 21 DEX, 18 CON, and a 20 COM. He is like The Piper in this regard, with inflated stats for no real reason.
To many, Thespian is the worst character in the book, with someone (Bob Greenwade?) going do far as having him killed in a game, bringing him back to life, and then killing him all over again.
