Flight Lieutenant Jane Cromwell and Flight Sergeant Miki “Mickey” Sato are members of Special Air Squadron 8. This top secret organization is part of the US Army Air Service (formerly the Aviation Section of the US Signal Corps), and counters threats of all sorts, such as Communist saboteurs, organized crime activities, air pirates, and the Skymaster (and his ilk).
