CHANTICO

Chantico (shan-te-ko) is the Aztec goddess of hearth and volcanos who provides warmth for comfort and heat for cooking. The photo shows a modern Mexican superheroine, who has powers of pyrokinesis and has taken the name Chantico. A popular superhero with the general public, she’s become a star of Mexican soaps, sings, dances, and has shown up in various movies. As her popularity has grown, her costume has become smaller.... At the same time, she’s used her wealth and fame to speak out against social injustice and corruption. This might cost her, though, as certain elements in the Mexican underworld are more than willing to hire super villains to eliminate her.
