This section attempts to list and describe all the spells and spell-like effects seen in the pages of the Silent Möbius manga. Most powers demonstrated by Lucifer Folk are not listed, as these seem to be 'innate' powers as opposed to actual castable spells. Each spell will have the following items of information:
Page Number: The page number the spell appears on. This number will be the page number of the Japanese volume (or Side). If there is a Viz-translated trade paperback that also shows the spell, then that page number will be given in parentheses.
Who: The person casting the spell.
Spell Name: The name of the spell as given in Silent Möbius. If none is given, the name might be that of the spells most obvious feature (for example, if the spell is clearly a barrier, then the spell name will be "Barrier Spell"). If there is no given name and the spell's purpose is unknown, then the name will be listed as "Unknown".
Incantations: Incantations given while casting the spell. In general, these will be taken from various sources, not just the Viz-translated version.
Description: What the spell is seen to do in the pages of the manga. Naturally, some of this will be guess work. In general, I will describe exactly what is shown.
Game Effects: An attempt to define the spell and it effects using the HERO System. Some spells will get actually write ups, others will only be guessed at and given suggestions. Due to the nature of the manga, very few spells will be fully written up. Any spells that are written up will usually use a base of 60 active points.

Who: Nami Yamigumo
Spell Name: Shields (or Barrier)
Incantations: Unknown
Description: Nami tells Lebia that she has "...up the shields." In this case, she seems to have placed (thrown, really) a pair of ofuda at the walls, forming an invisible wall of force.
Game Effects: This is another example of Nami's Force Walls in action. It is "Invisible" (+1/2) and probably only stops supernatural creatures (notice it does not stop the rats that come thundering by a few panels later).

Who: Katsumi Liqueur
Spell Name: Barrier
Incantations: Unknown
Description: After Katsumi's spinner is wrecked by a Lucifer Hawk, the smoke clears and Katsumi is seen kneeling on the ground surrounded by a hemispherical field. The smoke is curving around the field.
Game Effects: This is a typical Silent Möbius barrier. It uses Force Wall, at "No Range" (-1/2) and probably has a second limitation to the effect that the Force Wall must be curved around the caster.
Note: In between pages 47 and 100 (and throughout the rest of this volume) the Lucifer Hawk that the AMP fights exhibits some incredible abilities. Accounting for all of these powers goes beyond the scope of the Grimore project and will be written up in its own section. Check the section on Lucifer Folk powers for more. In addition, the Entity that the AMP have to deal with in this volume is what the writer considers to be a true "Lucifer Hawk", and is perfect model for such high-level Entities.

Who: Katsumi Liqueur
Spell Name: Grospolina
Incantations: None
Description:
Katsumi is attacked by a Lucifer Hawk. Just as she swings Grospolina at its 'head' the Lucifer Hawk catches her in an extended flashback/illusion of event from about 4 years ago. Katsumi continues the swing however, and cuts deep into the Lucifer Hawk's body, ending the illusion.
Game Effects: This sequence proves the cutting power of Grospolina.
Page Number: 102
Who: Katsumi Liqueur
Spell Name: Grospolina
Incantations: None
Description:
Katsumi calls out Grospolina's name, at which point he unleashes as massive explosive blast that tears an attack Lucifer Hawk to shreds.
Game Effects: The one question about this panel is whether the blast is from Grospolina or Katsumi. I'm going to guess Grospolina, since the effect is drawn centered in the sword blade and Katsumi has just cried his name. The attack looked to be a Ranged Killing Attack of some sort. It is very powerful and even blows out part of the building where Katsumi is fighting. Grospolina has not been shown doing such things before, but has been shown being used as a focus for Katsumi's spells. It may be that she's doing the same thing here.

Who: Fuyuka Liqueur
Spell Name: Unknown
Incantations: Unknown (the incantations are extensive, but untranslated)
Description:
Fuyuka produces a small piece of umbilical cord and places it on the ground She then cuts her wrist and lets the blood drip over the cord. She also chants an extensive spell. Page 128 shows that Fuyuka is standing in the middle of a large magic circle inscribed on the ground.
Game Effects: The spell is supposed to set up a false image or signal that makes Fuyuka seem to be Katsumi Liqueur. This is probably best handled by Images, since Fuyuka is projecting an image of Katsumi's magical signature and aura. The spell requires "Incantations", "Gestures", "Extra Time" and "Concentration" to cast.

Who: Fuyuka Liqueur
Spell Name: Unknown
Incantations:
Clouds hide the moonlight for a while until this has begun so the protector moon goddess Selene's eyes won't be hurt.
Description:
Fuyuka looks up to the sky and chants her incantation. Moments later, clouds cover the moon.
Game Effects: This spell is best represented by Change Environment. The environment being changed is the general atmosphere, here Fuyuka is summoning clouds of mist.
Page Number: 140-141
Who: Fuyuka Liqueur
Spell Name: Unknown
Incantations: None
Description:
Surrounded by several Lucifer Folk, Fuyuka plunges a dagger into the roof of the Spires where she s standing. At this point a brilliant blight flares up from the ground as well as a wind of sorts. By the time Katsumi sees what is happening on page 145 the light has collapsed to a large black sphere.
Game Effects: Fuyuka states: "I take you with me into the darkness and seal you there." Which seems to indicate that she is taking the Lucifer Folk away with her to another dimension. This spell is probably a form of Extra-Dimensional Movement with the advantage "Usable Against Others". It is certainly "Area of Effect: Radius" and requires "Gestures", a "Focus" (the knife) and probably extensive time to prepare. It might even have a "Trigger", which is thrusting the knife into the ground. This sort of spell is very Plot Device driven, as Fuyuka is sucked away by the casting of the spell and dies.

Who: Katsumi Liqueur
Spell Name: Summoning Grospolina
Incantations:
Grospolina, do as I command and come to me!!
Description:
Katsumi calls forth Grospolina, which flies from where it is resting and punches through two Lucifer Folk to land in Katsumi's hand.
Game Effects: Grospolina's ability to move is more an aspect of the sword itself than of anything Katsumi can do. Presumably, Katsumi can 'awaken' and summon Grospolina at will. Most likely, Grospolina has some sort of flight ability that requires his master to utter the incantation to 'summon' him, Grospolina probably can't move of his own free will. This is probably Flight, with the limitation "Only if Summoned", and the advantage "Trigger" with the Trigger being Katsumi's calling him forth.

Who: Katsumi Liqueur
Spell Name: Unknown
Incantations: Sun god Helios. Increase my body's power!
Description:
Katsumi chants her incantation right before charging into battle.
Game Effects: This is almost certainly an STR Aid. It requires "Incantations" and Katsumi uses this STR Aid right before trying to cut a Lucifer Hawk in half with her sword.
Page Number: 210-212
Who: Katsumi Liqueur
Spell Name: Grospolina
Incantations: None
Description:
Katsumi has cut at a Lucifer Hawk who then vanishes. When he leaves we see that Grospolina is embedded in the wall.
Game Effects: More proof that Grospolina is a very sizable Hand Killing Attack all by itself.
Page Number: 217-218
Who: Katsumi Liqueur
Spell Name: Grospolina
Incantations: None
Description:
Katsumi uses Grospolina to cause massive wounds in the Lucifer Hawk she is fighting.
Game Effects: See the entry for page 210-212.
Page Number: 217
Who: Katsumi Liqueur
Spell Name: Power blast
Incantations: None
Description:
Leaping back from the Lucifer Hawk, Katsumi summons a ball of energy in her hand and hurls it at the Lucifer Hawk.
Game Effects: This is an Energy Blast. It might be the most basic spell cast in the entire series.
Page Number: 219
Who: Katsumi Liqueur
Spell Name: Unknown
Incantations: None
Description:
Pointing Grospolina blade down to the floor, Katsumi summons a mighty surge of energy and directs it at the Lucifer Hawk.
Game Effects: This is a very large Energy Blast. It requires "Extra Time", a "Focus" (Grospolina) and possible "Concentrate". It probably has the advantage of "AoE: Line". As with Mana, Katsumi has several ranged attacks that all look very much alike. In game terms most of these can probably be melded together into one power.
Note: On page 220 Grospolina is snapped in half by the Lucifer Hawk. As a Focus, this shows that Grospolina isn't unbreakable. Some Game Masters may want to use the Spirit Rules to make Grospolina, since that way he could have a BODY score. At the very least, Grospolina should be written up using the artifact rules from Fantasy Hero. Breaking him should be fairly hard, which is once reason why the Lucifer Hawk comes across as so powerful.

Who: Nami Yamigumo
Spell Name: Unknown
Incantations: Unknown
Description:
Nami is using her ofuda to try and penetrate the shield put up by the Lucifer Hawk.
Game Effects: This could either be the standard Ranged Killing Attack/Energy Blast effect for Nami's ofuda or a Dispel. Either would achieve the effect needed, although the writer rather likes the idea of Nami being able to use her barrier ofuda to remove other barriers.

Who: Katsumi Liqueur
Spell Name: Unknown
Incantations: Karma and fate are making this magic begin. My mother's power, my father's power has begun. The power that sleeps in my breast is this world's. Also 13 stars' power. . . I'm your master. Show me how to fight as promised. I command you. Blow it up!
Description:
Katsumi produces the same magic circle from page 128. She starts her chant and her mother's dagger (last seen on page 140-141) floats into her hand. She grasps the dagger by the handle, turns it to point at the Lucifer Hawk and then unleashes a power blast that shreds the Lucifer Hawk and wrecks the Spires (the building in which they are fighting).
Game Effects: To be honest, this is a serious Plot Device attack. In game effects it is a huge Ranged Killing Attack. The scale of the attack is just incredible, easily being a 8d6 to 10d6 RKA (since it is doing as much - or more - damage then a tank cannon).
It should be noted that this spell is not the same one used in the first Silent Möbius movie. That one required Grospolina as a focus and used the following incantations:
God of Sun, Helios! Lend your power to me! Schad Barschemoth ha, the elemental of the moon! Lend me the mirror shining in silver! Before me... Raphael... Behind me... Gabriel... At my right hand... Michael... At my left hand... Uriel... MALKUTH... VE-GEBURAH... VE-GEDULAH... LE ORAM... AMEN! The Emperor of Swords Grospolina! And the spirits of thirteen planets! I am your master who leads the way! By the ancient pact... OBEY MY COMMAND!
