Aaron Stack

Background/History: The robot X-51 was created for a top-secret U.S. military project that hoped to make a robot soldier capable of thinking like a man. 51 experimental robots were engineered, but Dr. Abel Stack, computer heuristics programming specialist, knew the robot would only think like a man if he was treated as one. He stole the 51st robot and began treating him as if he were his own son, calling him Machine Man, and even creating an artificial face for him from simulated flesh and hair. Recently, Aaron Stack spent a year in space, but was returned by the Celestials after they found him to be a complete and utter ☠☠☠☠.

Personality/Motivation: Aaron doesn’t think much of biological systems and makes it a point to remind humans how great his perfect robot body is. He’s attracted to Elsa Bloodstone and openly stares at her chest. Monica says he lies all the time, he says she just doesn’t like what he tells her. Aaron is also somewhat lazy, and will try and avoid manual labor by simply ignoring it.

Quotes: “My robot brain needs beer.” (repeat this as needed)
“No more Mr. Nice Robot.”
“Bow-down, hoo-man ’friends.’ I am not a ☠☠☠☠ robot. I am Aaron Stack, hero robot, and you can all bite my valve.”

Powers/Tactics: Aaron Stack's robotic materials, design, and construction provide him with a number of abilities, as does his adamantium composition. He possesses superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, and reflexes. He’s an expert on his own construction and repair. Aaron possesses an above normal intellect, with a capacity for unlimited self-motivated activity, creative intelligence and human-like emotions. He has superhuman cybernetic analytical capabilities, including the ability to process information and make calculations with superhuman speed and accuracy.

Aaron is powered by solar energy (and beer). He can also draw power from several different external energy sources, if needed. Aaron has the ability to telescope his arms and legs to a length of 100 feet (this character sheet can do 1/2 that). Aaron’s hands are equipped with variable payload fingers, and contain a variety of weapons and sensors, including: gas chromatograph, laser interferometer, micro-pulse radar, audiometer, seismometer, gravity wave detector, pulse-code modulator, standard computer input/outputs, radio beacon, all-wave transceiver, and a laser cutting torch/weapon. One of his fingers has been shown to contain a bullet-firing mechanism that uses .357 Magnum ammunition. No word on the supposed power to impregnate Elsa Bloodstone from five feet away. He has the ability of flight under his own power through the means of anti-gravity disks built into his boots.

As Aaron Stack, he is also a trained insurance investigator. In Nextwave, he has become a living Swiss Army knife of sorts, containing various tools and weapons for a multitude of situations, both useful and esoteric.

(Aaron Stack created by Jack Kirby, modifed by Warren Ellis and Stuart Immonen; character sheet created by Andy Shockney and Michael Surbrook)
